A movement born from a simple belief.
Every life on India's roads matters, and every citizen has the power to keep one safe.
SURAKSHA began with a group of citizens who refused to accept that road tragedies were simply "the price of a growing country." What if, they asked, road safety was treated the way India treats its festivals - collectively, joyfully, and with pride?
Founded under Nation Change Makers, SURAKSHA is not a one-time campaign. It is a long-term civic movement, bringing together schools, colleges, corporates, government agencies, NGOs and volunteers to build a culture where every journey values human life.
We're starting in Pune - our first city. Pune leads. When Pune adopts a habit, India notices. Prove the model here, then take SURAKSHA to cities across India.
Make India's roads safer through education, awareness and citizen participation - starting in Pune, scaling nationwide.
A country where every journey, every walk, ride and drive, values human life.
Non-political. Non-religious. Citizen-first. Data-informed. Collaboration-led.
Six beliefs that guide us.
Every Life Matters
No journey is worth a life. Every ride, walk and drive counts.
Responsibility
Change begins with the choices we make on the road today.
Integrity
Non-political, non-religious, citizen-first. Always.
Collaboration
Government, corporates, schools and citizens - moving as one.
Citizen Leadership
Every citizen is a leader when they act for others' safety.
Hope
A safer India is not a dream. It is a decision, made together.
Join the movement.
Whether you have five minutes or five hours a week - India's roads need you.
